How to do rotary evaporator troubleshooting?

How to do simple troubleshooting by self  when you meet the common problems ofrotary evaporator?

1. The motor of rotary evaporator does not turn

– Connect the broken line and replug. 

– Update the fuse or confirm that there is no abnormality in the power supply.

– Update the circuit board or electrical control box.

– Connect the ground wire or change the work location.

– Exclude according to the inverter manual P33.

2. Rotavapor’s water bath / oil bath is not heated

– Detect the power supply is correct.

– Change the heating coil. Replace the solid state relay or relay board.

– Change the temperature controller. Detect the probe wiring or update the probe.

3. Bath pot temperature detection

– Change the temperature controller.

– Replace the solid state relay or relay board.

– Change the probe or temperature controller of vacuum rotary evaporator
.

4. Vacuum can’t pump

– Empty the solvent and try the empty flask of rotary evaporators
.

– Vacuum oil pump for oil (water) changing, cleaning and maintenance.

– Detect and eliminate piece by piece along the vacuum line.

– Reassemble, clean the glass wool sandwich panel, apply vacuum grease, and tighten the flanges.
